Race Report: Southridge Winter Series #2, Fontana CA January 22, 2012

 

 

 Southridge Winter Series #2 went down this past weekend in Fontana. After rain throughout most of Saturday, the course was perfect for Sunday's downhill race. The race course was probably the most technical that McKenna had to race on so far, but she managed to make her way down safely with only one crash and a few stalls and other mistakes.

McKenna crossed the finish line with a time of 5:19, putting her 3rd in her category of Beginner Women under 34.  When awards time came around, the SRC crew created a new category on the spot, Beginner Women 10 and under, so McKenna took the win being the only girl even close to that age.
